Our Vision

Combining a unique perspective of the TV advertising industry with a passion for the music industry, Three First Names & Associates is a consultancy focused on advising brands and agencies on the transition from traditional TV to streaming.

Founded by Nathan Michael Scott (three first names… get it? lol), our team is a blend of industry expertise and technical skill – bringing together software engineers, data compliance officers, and independent musicians – with the mission to ease the adoption of streaming for advertisers and ultimately enhance the CTV ad experience for viewers.

“With nearly a decade of experience in the media and advertising industry, I am uniquely positioned to help brands & agencies excel in the fragmented streaming TV space with extensive knowledge of video advertising spanning broadcast, cable, syndication, addressable, OTT/CTV, social, and digital activations.

I am adept at cross-functional team collaboration with business, operational, and technical stakeholders as well as leveraging an analytical expertise to inform strategic decisions through data storytelling. I thrive in dynamic environments and have a proven track record of driving significant revenue growth, enhancing client relationships, and delivering data-driven insights to optimize cross-screen TV advertising strategies with hands-on, technical expertise.

With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a lifelong interest in all things entertainment (TV, Film, Music, Video Games), a driving factor for my decision to pursue a BS in Advertising at the University of Illinois is the ever-evolving and creative nature of the industry as well as the opportunity to continuously learn new trends and technologies. I am passionate about leveraging data to drive success and eager to continue making a positive impact in the media and advertising industry.”

TV Advertising Experience

Nathan has hands-on experience working with 100+ brands & agencies of all sizes during his tenure at industry-leading companies, iSpot and Sony Pictures. Below are a couple of his accomplishments:

  • Optimized Upfront media buy in tandem with two media agencies for a leading Auto brand by developing an analysis to inform how the client should exercise quarterly cancellation options for their cross-screen advertising and identified $2.2MM in wasted ad spend in one quarter, resulting in the iSpot Marketing team utilizing the analysis for a case study
  • Resolved API concerns with a top Software brand that accounted for over 90% of all API requests across both internal and external accounts, resulting in client renewal and upsell
  • Coordinated with iSpot Product team to develop a new API endpoint for a leading Martech agency, enabling easier mapping of iSpot data to internal client IDs, resulting in the agency tapping iSpot as preferred CTV ad measurement provider
